-I'm an introvert, and hate writing bios.
-I am several flavors of geek.
-I get debilitating migraines, and I have celiac disease and asthma. I injured my right knee pretty severely 10+ years ago now - it still gives me trouble. When I hit 40, all of my collagen apparently drained out of my body, and I ended up with a ruptured disk. I have spent many long years rehabbing it, and can now sit for indefinite periods of time on non-special furniture. Recently, I was even able to spend all day standing and walking around a museum, AFTER riding a train for an hour to get there! This was unthinkable even as recently as a year ago, when a movie in a theater left me in agony.
-I'm definitely an "ask" person rather than a "guess" person, and being forced to try to guess only makes me confused and annoyed.
-I'm terrible at maintaining communication. Sometimes my words come out stilted, disjointed, spew-y, stalker-y and just plain wrong. Sometimes they don't come out at all. I suspect that at least some of this is related to my migraines, and some of it to rating somewhere on the autism spectrum, and some of it to the toxic, raging seethe I've been enduring internally since 9/11/01. Please bear with me, I'm doing my best.
-I have been missing journal-land, which is why I have decided to post more. Happily, this appears to be dove-tailing with a resurgence of other people also missing journal-land. Been spending a lot of time on polyvore.com. I more-or-less ditched FB a while ago now, because I cut my exposure to news for rage/anxiety/stress reasons. I don't miss the onslaught of information, but I do miss the camaraderie.
-I have a phone phobia.
-I used to post a LOT of info via FB & Twitter. There's a lot of important info out there in the world, and you should know about ALL OF IT. I, however, am currently burned out on it.
-I really, REALLY like my alone time.
-Despite 16+ years of adoring and living with my wonderful Troll, I still think of myself (socially, at least) as a lesbian.
-I detest bullies and manipulators.
-Racism, bigotry, misogyny, corporate influence, most organized religion and fat hatred all fall into the category of bullying.
-I am pro-abortion. This means that I think that all women should have access to this legal medical procedure at all times, and the only entities who should be able to be able to stop this legal medical procedure from happening are the woman whose body it will be happening to, and her qualified, chosen, medical professional.
-I make a concerted effort to be a nice person, despite my prickles and general stabbiness, so I require that people be nice when interacting with me in my journal-space.
